Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Credit Card/Bank Account Agreement

By registering and paying for HQ classes, events, services, or products, I hereby authorize HQ Dance Studio, LLC to charge my credit card or bank account in advance for all applicable fees incurred by me in connection with my chosen service and registration. HQ Dance Studio, LLC requests payments in advance on a monthly basis. No refunds are given for days when the student is not in attendance. I hereby understand and agree that in most cases HQ Dance Studio, LLC will be charging my designated credit card or bank account in accordance with the payment schedule of the service for which I have registered, but some service fees may accumulate on my credit card account or bank account before they are actually charged to my account. I further understand and agree that it is my responsibility to notify HQ Dance Studio, LLC of any changes to my credit card or bank account or if my credit card has expired; otherwise, my access to their services may be discontinued or interrupted. All fees shall be paid in U.S. dollars. HQ Dance Studio, LLC reserves the right to change fees without prior notice. However, we will endeavor to inform parents and carers of any changes as soon as possible.

  1. Cancellation of Classes:

If classes are canceled due to the fault of the company, fees will be deducted from the following month’s fees. This will be done at the discretion of HQ Dance Studio, LLC. We will not be financially liable for classes or dates canceled due to events beyond our reasonable control.

  1. Attendance Policy:

It is a fundamental necessity for the teacher/choreographer to have the time to work with the students; therefore, all students are expected to meet a 80% minimum attendance. Parents are asked to contact us when their child is absent giving an indication of the reason. When working towards group choreography for performances, should attendance drop below 80%, we reserve the right to alter students’ positions, and if deemed necessary, he/she will be removed from a section or the whole piece.

  1. Dress Code:

Closed toed shoes are required to participate in dance classes. No jeans, as it restricts the ability to perform the movement of one’s fullest capabilities.  Sweats and athletic shorts are highly recommended.

6) Behavior Policy

During sessions, students are expected to behave in a polite manner. We discourage any unnecessary talking. If a student is causing disruption to others’ learning, they may be asked to leave the lesson.

Any unacceptable behavior from students and/or parents/carers will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behavior by pupils may result in exclusion from current and/or further activities. Parents or family members may be banned from premises, events and/or performances.

7) Anti-Bullying Policy

HQ recognizes that every client has the right to enjoy a life free from bullying; therefore, we will always take all allegations of bullying very seriously, and are committed to deal with it effectively when it does happen. We will always endeavor to work with students and parents to prevent it from happening.

8) Appropriate Physical Contact Policy

Teaching dance is a physical activity and appropriate physical contact between students and teachers in class is essential to training. HQ recognizes that such physical contact is a potentially complex area, and the company also fully recognizes its responsibilities for safeguarding students and teachers, and for protecting their welfare.

The following principles and procedures are in place to fulfill the company’s obligations:

- Contact by the teacher is made with a particular awareness of the needs of each individual to assist the dancer in correcting placement.

- All teachers will treat any physical contact with due sensitivity and care, and with due regard for the wishes of the student.

- Contact will not involve force or the use of any instrument.

- Teachers will be mindful of location and avoid situations where they are isolated from the student; a one to one class should be held in studios and dance areas with windows or with the parent/carer present.

- Students and parents are encouraged to discuss any worries with any member of staff or an independent listener.

9) Media Use Rights Permission

We ask parents/guardians to grant permission for HQ to take photographs and videos of the students. No personal information is ever used or linked to the photographs.  We ask for full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/videography, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for publicity or other purposes to help achieve HQ’s aims. This may include, but is not limited to, the right to use them in printed and online publicity/social media.

10) Liability and Safety Agreement:

  • Waiver will be given to clients at the studio location declaring that we will not be responsible for any injuries obtained on the premises. We will have hard copies of waiver at the studio.
